Softball Recap: Lacassine Comes Up Short

Lacassine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 17-1 to the Iota Bulldogs. The matchup marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lacassine's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Iota, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

Lacassine will venture away from home to take on Westgate at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Iota, they will welcome Mamou at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Demons will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
