Volleyball Recap: Glenelg Takes a Loss

Glenelg lost against River Hill back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gladiators lost 3-0 to the Hawks. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-15.

Avery Hubbard paced Glenelg's offense, picking up eight kills. Hubbard got some help from Jessica Li and her 13 assists. Ivy Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Glenelg's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for River Hill, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Glenelg will be playing at home against Wilde Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Hill, they are taking a road trip to square off against Guilford Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
