Baseball Recap: Litchfield Comes Up Short

Litchfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-7 to the Watertown-Mayer Royals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Royals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 17-7 loss on Monday.

Litchfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Watertown-Mayer, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Looking ahead, Litchfield will square off against Rockford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight. Watertown-Mayer has already played their next game (against Breck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
