Soccer Recap: Firestone Comes Up Short

Firestone and St. Vincent-St. Mary pushed the score to 7-1 the last time they played St. Vincent-St. Mary, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Falcons fell just short of the Fighting Irish by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Firestone couldn't quite close it out.

Firestone's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9-2.
