Lowndes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Valiant Cross Academy Warriors, falling 61-38. One positive for the Rebels, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Valiant Cross Academy found their leader in sophomore Jersey Farbes, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 24 points in addition to five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farbes has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of John Cosby, who posted ten points and four steals.

Lowndes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Valiant Cross Academy, their victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Lowndes Academy will head out to face off against Evangel Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valiant Cross Academy, they will host Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
