Softball Recap: Halls Has No Trouble Against Cloudland

Halls got themselves on the board against Cloudland on Friday, but Cloudland never followed suit. They blew past the Highlanders 10-0. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Brielle Johnson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Harper Bales, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Halls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .731. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Halls and bumps their season record up to 11-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Cloudland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Halls has already played their next contest (against Tennessee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cloudland, they will challenge Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
