Softball Recap: Buchanan Takes a Loss

Buchanan fell victim to Clovis North and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Broncos. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bears have suffered since May 9, 2025.

Buchanan has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-6 record this season. As for Clovis North, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Buchanan will take on rival Clovis East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 3, the Timberwolves 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Clovis North is set to square off against their familiar foe Clovis West at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
