Recap: Worth County/Northeast Nodaway Tigers vs. South Holt Knights
The Worth County/Northeast Nodaway Tigers extended their postseason success on Friday against the South Holt Knights. Everything went their way against the Knights as they made off with a 40-14 win. The win was familiar territory for Worth County/Northeast Nodaway who now have 12 in a row.
Tyler New was his usual excellent self, rushing for 186 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 121 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Grant McIntyre also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 5.5 sacks. In that department, Bo Collins was the leader with two sacks.
Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for South Holt, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 12-1.
Worth County/Northeast Nodaway is on the road again on Thursday and play against Archie. Archie is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. South Holt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
