Norris proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 13) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Gretna Dragons. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won four in a row.

Eli Starner looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tanner Klein, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since April 1st. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyson Gana, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Norris hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gretna struck out seven times.

Norris' record is now 17-7. As for Gretna, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Norris will face off against rival Bennington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 3.3, the Badgers 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Gretna is set to square off against their familiar foe Millard West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
