Baseball Recap: Crossroads Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Crossroads lost against Windward back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Roadrunners took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Quinn Barach was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, Jake McCaffrey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Andrew Holland, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Crossroads' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Windward, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6.

While Crossroads had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
