Central Academy takes loss despite strong performances from Michael Hoff and Zach Mcdowell

The Central Academy Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 69-33 loss at the hands of Forest Hills. Central Academy was down 44-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Central Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Zach Mcdowell and Michael Hoff. Mcdowell dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Hoff scored 14 points. That was a full 42.4% of Central Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Forest Hills found their leader in underclassman Amari Melton, who scored 24 points. Joshua Rivera was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Central Academy has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for Forest Hills, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Academy will take on Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest Hills, they will play host again and welcome Anson, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anson is coming into the contest with three straight victories on the road, so Forest Hills is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
