Wake Forest is 9-1 against Rolesville since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cougars will welcome the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Wake Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
While Wake Forest's victory against Heritage wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars' pitcher stepped up to hand the Huskies a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won nine in a row.

Not much got past Jil Livengood, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Heritage off the board. Livengood has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Wake Forest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Spahlinger, who went 2-for-3 with one run. That's the most hits Spahlinger has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rolesville). They blew past Knightdale 17-2 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Sadie Smith was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Maddie Farabaugh was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Rolesville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Wake Forest pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Rolesville, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-14.
Rolesville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Wake Forest has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 15.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Rolesville, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 strikeouts. Will Wake Forest keep running through batters, or will the Rams buck the trend?
Wake Forest took their victory against Rolesville when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
