Baseball Recap: Colbert Heights Comes Up Short

If Colbert Heights was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of Cherokee on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colbert Heights Wildcats lost 11-5 to the East Limestone Indians on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 10-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Colbert Heights has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for East Limestone and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Coincidentally, Colbert Heights and East Limestone will both be playing Holly Pond the next time they take the field. Colbert Heights will host Holly Pond at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while East Limestone will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
