Football Game Preview: Fairfield Falcons vs. Burbank Titans

Fairfield is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Burbank Titans at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Fairfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 31-27 to Enterprise.

Even if they lost, Fairfield's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Valentin Garibay was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.

Meanwhile, Burbank was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 27-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Rosa.

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Burbank, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Fairfield against Burbank in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-12 victory. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
