Volleyball Game Preview: Riverdale Chieftains vs. Fennimore Golden Eagles

The Riverdale Chieftains will venture away from home to take on the Fennimore Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverdale is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Riverdale came up short against Pecatonica on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Pecatonica scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Fennimore came up short against Mineral Point on Saturday and fell 2-0.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Fennimore, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-8.

Riverdale might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Fennimore in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Chieftains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
