Basketball Game Recap: University Titans vs. Matanzas Pirates

The University Titans were the 42-30 winner over the Matanzas Pirates when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. University was the victim of a tough 53-30 loss at the hands of Matanzas on Monday.

Matanzas got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Boone out in front who scored 13 points. Ryleigh Smith was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Matanzas, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University will challenge Trinity Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Matanzas, they will head out on the road to face off against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
