Softball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King came into this matchup off a tough 15-run loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Miller Buccaneers by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since March 22, 2024.

King's loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Miller, they moved to 9-17 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. King will square off against rival Ray at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Miller is set to face off against their familiar foe Corpus Christi Moody at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
