Baseball Game Preview: Canyon Lake vs. Bandera BULLDOGS

For the second straight game, Canyon Lake will face off against Bandera. Canyon Lake will be playing at home against Bandera at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Canyon Lake's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bandera as they made off with a 7-0 victory. Considering Canyon Lake has won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Carter Williams made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Michael Anderson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Gram Simpson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Canyon Lake's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 20-11-1. As for Bandera, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13-1.
