Soccer Recap: San Antonio Christian Takes a Loss

San Antonio Christian managed to keep up with Canyon Lake until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The San Antonio Christian Lions came up short against Canyon Lake, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Canyon Lake are ranked 173rd).

San Antonio Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Canyon Lake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

The future could be bright for both San Antonio Christian and Canyon Lake: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. San Antonio Christian will try to hand St. Anthony their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on January 31st. Meanwhile, Canyon Lake will look to extend Canyon's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
