Football Game Preview: Life Oak Cliff Lions vs. Pilot Point Bearcats + How To Watch

The Life Oak Cliff Lions will take on the Pilot Point Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Life Oak Cliff's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past A Plus Academy 55-0.

Life Oak Cliff found their leader in freshman Sukora ' Sip' Cooper Jr, who rushed for 202 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries, and also threw for 142 yards and one touchdown. ' Sip' Cooper Jr really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Another player making a difference was Jatavion Smith-Adams, who rushed for 56 yards and three scores.

Life Oak Cliff was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 417 rushing yards. They are 5-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pilot Point, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 45-20 margin over Whitesboro on Friday.

Pilot Point's win came from a few key players Life Oak Cliff will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Josh Chumley, who rushed for 150 yards on only 14 carries. Those 150 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden David, who rushed for 67 yards and one TD on only six carries.

Pilot Point pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Life Oak Cliff, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Life Oak Cliff has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 247.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Pilot Point struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 330.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
