Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Navarre's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Navarre's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Tate Aggies 10-1. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kayden Riddle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Navarre got a massive performance out of Karsyn Riddle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Lily Weaver was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Navarre was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Navarre is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Tate, they dropped their record down to 8-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Navarre will take on Pace at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. Tate does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
