Maple Grove waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Chaska Hawks 78-40. Given the Crimson's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Hawks are ranked 43rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Maple Grove's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2. As for Chaska, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Maple Grove will challenge Minnehaha Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maple Grove knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 contests -- so hopefully Minnehaha Academy likes a good challenge. Chaska has already played their next game (against New Prague), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
