Football Recap: Seeger Comes Up Short

After soaring to 57 points the game before, Seeger was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They took a blow against the Riverton Parke Panthers, falling 48-12. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 40-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Seeger still got an impressive performance from Tucker Herndon, who rushed for 89 yards and one score on only eight carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards.

Sean Vester produced another solid performance rushing for 252 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.0 yards per carry for Riverton Parke. With that strong performance, Vester is now averaging an impressive 131.8 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Vickter Shoopman, who rushed for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Seeger fell to 3-1. As for Riverton Parke, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Seeger wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-2 victory against Parke Heritage on the 19th. As for Riverton Parke, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-3 win against North Vermillion on the 19th.
