Westmoreland won against White House-Heritage last Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Westmoreland came out on top in a nail-biter against the East Robertson Indians, sneaking past 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since May 1, 2024.

Lanie Cook Parkhurst made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Cook Parkhurst was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Elora Vega was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Westmoreland and bumps their season record up to 5-4. As for East Robertson, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Westmoreland will square off against Cannon County at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Robertson, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Station Camp at 5:00 p.m. Station Camp will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something East Robertson surely won't give up without a fight.
