Basketball Recap: Colonel Richardson Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Dorchester last Tuesday, Colonel Richardson came back down to earth. The Colonel Richardson Colonels took a 38-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Caroline Bulldogs. The Colonels lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 58-28 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Caroline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yariah Dowell, who posted 15 points. Ashley Kercheval was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Colonel Richardson has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for North Caroline, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Colonel Richardson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-29 win against Washington on the 17th. As for North Caroline, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-18 loss against Kent Island on the 23rd.
