Soccer Game Preview: Sussex Central vs. Polytech

Sussex Central is 0-8 against Polytech since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Golden Knights will host the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Sussex Central's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Milford as they made off with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for Sussex Central, who have now won four matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Polytech faced Sussex Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Seahawks.

Sussex Central pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for Polytech, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Sussex Central might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Polytech in their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
