Softball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hilliard Bradley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 6-4 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 11-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Kira Bailey was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Hall, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Hilliard Bradley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.

Coincidentally, Lincoln and Hilliard Bradley will both be playing Perrysburg the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Yellow Jackets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Jaguars will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
