Softball Recap: Arapahoe Victorious

Arapahoe was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lowndes Vikings, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since August 27, 2024.

Macie Miller was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Isabella Knox was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in September of 2024. Quincy Keefe also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Arapahoe lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Arapahoe's record now sits at 5-2. As for Lowndes, their loss dropped their record down to 3-4.

Coming up, Arapahoe will venture away from home to face off against Pine Creek at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lowndes, they will welcome Tift County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
