It was a good run, but Fort Payne unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Huntsville Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Lydie Varnadore paced Fort Payne's offense, picking up 12 kills. Varnadore got some help from Aubri Troxtel and her eight assists.

Fort Payne's loss dropped their record down to 37-10. As for Huntsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season.

Fort Payne has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Danville on the 4th. As for Huntsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against American Christian Academy on the 4th.
