Baseball Recap: St. Marys Has No Trouble Against Karns City

While St. Marys put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Karns City. The Flying Dutch blew past the Gremlins 6-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Flying Dutch.

Ben Paul made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Paul was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Paul wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was TYSEN BEIMEL, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another was Jackson Vollmer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

St. Marys now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Karns City, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Marys will welcome Brookville at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Karns City, they will challenge Freeport at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
