Chamberlain's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Wagner, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Red Raiders beat Chamberlain by a score of 15-1 later that day.
