Volleyball Recap: Poteet Comes Up Short

Poteet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Laredo LBJ Wolves.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-6.

Laredo LBJ's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Karina Perez Garcia, who had six aces. Another player making a difference was Mariana Baeza, who had four aces and two assists.

Poteet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Laredo LBJ, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Poteet didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Young Women's Leadership Academy on the 15th. As for Laredo LBJ, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Harlandale on the 15th.
