Softball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem lost against West Branch back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Quakers took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Channing Toy made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aniya Jones, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for West Branch, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Salem has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Hubbard on the 13th. As for West Branch, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-8 win against Carrollton on the 9th.
