Softball Recap: West Albany Takes a Loss

West Albany came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-6 to the Silverton Foxes. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Foxes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

West Albany saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Kidd 2026, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run. Jasmyn Vidal also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

West Albany's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Silverton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. West Albany will face off against rival Corvallis at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Silverton is set to square off against their familiar foe Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
