Clyde-Savannah never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Waterloo on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 34-8 margin over the Tigers. For the Golden Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 33-16 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Clyde-Savannah had a senior duo take command as John Whitfield rushed for 204 yards and three scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry and Garrett Carr rushed for 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries.

The victory got Clyde-Savannah back to even at 1-1. As for Waterloo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Clyde-Savannah will head out to square off against Red Jacket at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Waterloo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
