 Northwood lost against Williams back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Northwood Chargers lost  7-1 to the Williams Bulldogs. Northwood has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Northwood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Camden Miller, who  went 2-for-4 with  an  RBI.
 On Williams' side,  Tate Jones made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Jones has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Jones was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news, Williams let  Dan Mahan and  James Cooper loose on the outfield. Mahan  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3, while  Cooper  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Vince Coker, who  went 2-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Northwood now  has a losing record at 10-11. As for Williams, their win was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 16-4.
 Northwood will take on Providence Grove at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Williams, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Person at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Williams' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1  runs per game  this season, so Person's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
