Basketball Recap: Woodcreek Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Woodcreek extended their road winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Max VanLaningham. The Woodcreek Timberwolves came out on top against the Acalanes Dons by a score of 53-46 on Saturday thanks in part to VanLaningham, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 boards. He has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more rebounds the last four times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Will Munoz, who posted seven points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Woodcreek's record is now 9-1. As for Acalanes, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Woodcreek will host Del Oro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Acalanes, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. John's at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in St. John's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 games.
