Ferris and Mt. Spokane are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Saxons are taking a road trip to take on the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ferris' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Ferris and Central Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Saxons fell 3-1 to the Bears on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Ferris can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Central Valley are ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, while the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Gonzaga Prep who was credited with the victory on Wednesday. The Bullpups got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Mt. Spokane's three.

Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mt. Spokane, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-2.
