Basketball Recap: Three Rivers' Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Three Rivers lost against Kenedy back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Three Rivers Bulldogs lost to the Kenedy Lions at home by a 39-20 margin. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Three Rivers lost, don't look at Nayelli Rivera. Despite the final result, she posted five points and three steals. Rivera is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Three Rivers' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Kenedy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Three Rivers will face off against Yorktown at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kenedy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Kenedy Lions challenge the Refugio Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
