Soccer Game Preview: Prout vs. Blackstone Valley Prep

The Prout Crusaders will venture away from home to square off against the Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Prout's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Prout didn't have quite enough to beat Middletown and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Prout have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Blackstone Valley Prep and Middletown finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Prout's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-4. Blackstone Valley Prep's draw gives them a new season record of 8-6-2.

Prout took their win against Blackstone Valley Prep in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
