Basketball Game Preview: Veterans Warhawks vs. Lee County Trojans

The Veterans Warhawks will face off against the Lee County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Veterans took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 66-57 victory over Tift County.

Meanwhile, Lee County had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 65-29 win over the Eagles. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 25 points or more this season.

Lee County is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Veterans, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
