Basketball Recap: Palmer's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Calhoun City came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Palmer, but Jalean Tweedy wouldn't allow it. The Palmer Dragons secured a 68-63 W over the Calhoun City Wildcats on Tuesday thanks in part to Tweedy, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 boards. The game was his tenth in a row with at least ten points.

Cornelius Emerson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 17 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Palmer and bumps their season record up to 10-6. As for Calhoun City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palmer will welcome Ingomar at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th. Palmer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season. As for Calhoun City, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bruce at 7:30 p.m.
