Football Recap: Williams Comes Up Short Despite Rafael Moreno's Big Defensive Game

Williams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 27-22 heartbreaker at the hands of the Biggs Wolverines. The Yellowjackets lost against the Wolverines in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 30-0 score last time.

Even if they lost, Williams' defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. In that department, Rafael Moreno was the leader with 2.5. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game.

Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Biggs, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Williams will face off against Maxwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Biggs, they will square off against Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
