Last Wednesday, St. Paul Academy-Summit beat Roosevelt by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 63-52. Given St. Paul Academy-Summit's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Roosevelt is ranked 232nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Math & Science Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty Classical Academy/Chesterton Academy/Schleusener HomeSchool. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
St. Paul Academy-Summit is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Math & Science Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
