Football Recap: Somerset Academy South Homestead Comes Up Short

Somerset Academy South Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 25-12 to Inlet Grove.

Leading Inlet Grove to victory were Cornelius Terry and Rj Hickox. Terry rushed for 158 yards on only six carries, while Hickox threw for 207 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes. Terry's longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. 84 of Hickox's passing yards were hauled in by Xavier Cooper.

Somerset Academy South Homestead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Inlet Grove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy South Homestead will head out to challenge Miami Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Inlet Grove, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against King's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
