Basketball Recap: Summit Atlas Orcas vs. Summit Classical Christian School Archers
Summit Atlas lost against Summit Classical Christian School back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Summit Atlas Orcas were outmatched by the Summit Classical Christian School Archers and fell 98-37. While losing is never fun, the Orcas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Archers are ranked 127th).
Summit Classical Christian School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cam Milojevich out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Those 25 points gave Milojevich a new career-high. Trey Hodo was another key player, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten assists.
Summit Atlas has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit Atlas will square off against Concordia Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concordia Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Summit Atlas likes a good challenge. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they will face off against Quilcene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit Classical Christian School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 74.2 points per game this season.
