Delta will be taking part in a tournament against Paulding at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Delta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.8 points per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Delta faced off against Liberty Center on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 45-16. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Tigers are ranked 422nd).

Delta found their leader in sophomore Anna Lohman, who shot 42% from the field en route to 12 points along with seven assists and six boards. Lohman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Keagyn Gillen was another key player, going 5-for-6 on her way to 10 points and five rebounds.
Delta was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Paulding posted their closest win since December 30, 2024 last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Parkway, sneaking past 33-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Paulding.
Delta better keep an eye on Kayleigh Dunham. She was instrumental in Paulding's win, putting up seven points in addition to seven boards and six blocks. Another player making a difference was Tori Schlatter, who posted six points and three steals.
Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Delta, their win bumped their record up to 18-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Delta has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Paulding struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.4 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Delta lost to Paulding at home by a decisive 46-29 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2025. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Schlatter, who put up 16 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
