Softball Recap: RHAM Beats Bacon Academy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

RHAM entered their tilt with Bacon Academy on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 19-8 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-5 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Mya Strumskas, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI and three doubles.

RHAM was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .415. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bacon Academy only posted a batting average of .231.

RHAM's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Bacon Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

RHAM will head out to face off against Edwin O. Smith at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Raptors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Bacon Academy, they will be playing at home against Griswold at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
