Watkins Mill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wootton Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Watkins Mill of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Watkins Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Wootton, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.
