Volleyball Recap: Farmersville Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Farmersville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lindsay Cardinals on Tuesday. The Aztecs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Farmersville actually scored more points across those four sets (91-86), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 11-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farmersville will welcome Avenal at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lindsay, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Alpaugh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
